We belong to ancient noble families such as the Vignoli and the Estensi.
The D'Este family was a family of Princes, Dukes, Marquises and Saints (San Contardo D’Este).
It was one of the important families in Europe and the one most involved in the
diffusion of Beauty through Arts and Culture.
The Este family left to posterity wonderful palaces and villas full of gardens and
fountains which still today enchant and elevate the Spirit and the Soul. Some
sites designed by our Ancestors have been declared a World Heritage Site by
UNESCO.
Our family is currently represented by Duchess Dr. Isabella Vignoli D'Este. Writer, Director and "Mecenate". A "Maecenas" is a person who financially supports and promotes artistic and cultural activities, such as painting, sculpture, music, and literature. The term derives from the Roman Gaius Cilnius Maecenas, who protected and financed poets and artists, such as Virgil and Horace..
